OVERVIEW
Impaq International, LLC is a policy research and analytics firm focused on improving programs and policies across healthcare, education, and economic development. I originally worked at Impaq as a Research Administrative Assistant before transitioning into my career as a graphic designer. Years later, the company brought me back as a design contractor to support a variety of visual communication needs, giving me the opportunity to approach their complex research and policy work from a creative perspective.
CHALLENGE
Impaq’s work often involved complex research, data, and policy information that needed to be communicated clearly to a variety of audiences. The challenge was to translate this often technical content into visual materials that were informative, engaging, and easy to understand while maintaining a professional visual identity appropriate for a research and policy organization. Projects also varied widely in format and purpose, requiring flexible design solutions across print and digital communications.
SOLUTION
Drawing on my previous experience with the organization and my growing expertise as a designer, I developed visual solutions that made Impaq’s research and communications more accessible and engaging. I worked across a range of projects, using thoughtful typography, information hierarchy, layout, and visual storytelling to clarify complex subject matter while maintaining a cohesive and professional aesthetic. The resulting work helped transform research-driven content into polished communications that could effectively connect Impaq’s ideas and findings with its audiences.
