OVERVIEW
The Office of Justice Programs (OJP) is the Department of Justice' largest grant making component with a focus on advancing justice and creating safer communities. They provide federal leadership, grants, research, and other resources to support crime victims, state, local and tribal communities as well as law enforcement and juvenile justice systems.
CHALLENGE
When I joined on board with OJP as a Lead Designer and Brand Specialist, they had little to no consistency across the agency, which not only created a less than ideal brand experience for their audiences, but it also prevented the agency from working as collaboratively and efficiently together as a team.
SOLUTION
I worked closely with leadership to understand their brand needs and created a comprehensive brand strategy that not only made it easier for their audiences to understand their brand architecture, but also implemented a cohesive and streamlined experience across all touch points. This included leading the development of their first ever officially approved brand guidelines as well as a design system with branded templates and assets that could be utilized agency-wide.
